Corner Desk

Our office area was a disaster, and the buried desk was too bulky for the space. We needed a place for our printer, arts and crafts supplies, files, and office items, among other things. I built the desk in two sections: one shelving set and one simple desk.

For the shelving set, I designed shelf heights and vertical supports based on space needs, backing the structure with a thin plywood to simply keep it square, leaving a gap at the bottom for cords.

I made the desk the exact same height, backing with plywood again, but this time leaving a gap at both the top and bottom for cords. After painting and putting both pieces in the office, I joined them in place with screws.

For the final touch, I painted and attached facing on all front edges with my nail gun and finished nail holes with wood filler and paint.

Now, the shelves are filled, and the desk and space are well-used!

Original Design. A sleek, customized storage and office solution.
