Rolling Garage Wall

Original Design. Unfinished wood. An aesthetic, functional custom design.

The garage. Even the word gives me stress. Too much stuff, little to no organization, insects, strange odors, incredible amounts of dust. It’s the part of my house I don’t want anyone to see. A wall can fix that part - it can hide parts of it so no one will see. That’s what this project was all about. I built three different walls, so now I can section off part of the garage to hide the mess. I used 2x4s and plywood for the structure and pallet wood for a shiplap face. I put each wall on wheels and customized the height to give me about an inch of clearance under our open garage doors. We’ve used the walls to display party decorations and in the driveway as the screen for projector movie nights. Now I can hide the lawn tools, the mower, and the garage sale items while I enjoy a neat and somewhat-clean half of a garage!
